Ouch!!!
Two weeks ago today I was in ER with my thumb and little did I know when I woke up this morning, that I would visit the same place again so soon. I was getting ready to volunteer at school as I do every Tuesday after meeting with my MITI group and decided to pick up my twins from the lunch room and take them to the book fair instead for lunch recess. They have both been battling colds all weekend and missed school on Monday, so I just didn't want them out running around the playground in the heat just yet. Well, I found them running out the door for recess and they begged me to let them go play with their friends instead of going to look at books. I agreed and now TOTALLY regret that decision. ;o( Not more than 10 minutes later, I receieved a call from the nurses office while walking to the twins' classroom and so I just high tailed it over there to see who was sick with my phone still ringing in my purse. I really thought it would be Paige finally coming down with the sickness that hit the other 3, but low and behold, I found my Sadie crying and laying down with an ice pak on her noggin. I couldn't believe my eyes when she showed me her HUGE bump from running into a pole on the playset....the pole obviously won! I grabbed my precious angel and off to Urgent Care we ran. They checked her out very quickly and recommended a CAT scan which could only be done at a hospital, not in their facility. So...off we went to the local emergency hospital and thankfully they were waiting for us and whisked us in the room and then shortly after that we were in the scan. The scan was given by a fellow dad of a Kindergardener at our school. (Just love it when God provides the right people for us at the right time in some of our darkest moments) Sadie this whole time was answering all the questions correctly, was alert and responding well to all the nuerological tests. I quickly sent out text messages and Facebook messages to gather all the prayer warriors I could reach in that moment and soon started to feel far more at peace as the encouragement started rolling in. I could feel the love and started sharing the comments with Sadie who began to tear up as I read to her all of the names of the people praying for her. I joined her with some tears and we agreed that they were happy tears. She kept asking me to kiss her bump because, "mommy's kisses always make it better". Isn't that the truth!! We waited what felt like an eternity for the results which all came back negative for any brain bleeds!! I'm so thankful that Sadie is okay and am thankful for another moment in my life where I stand at the feet of the Lord totally helpless and relying only on Him in those fearful moments. These are faith building steps that I'd rather never take, but know they will come. He loves my Sadie Joy and knows the very best for her. He has a purpose and a plan for her. He knows her by name and the numbers of hair on her head. He knows the numbers of her days. He loves her and He loves me.

Daddy Donut Day!!
Every Saturday morning that Todd is not flying, he takes the girls to Dunkin Donuts. They SO look forward to the morning with just their Daddy and sometimes he even takes Mocha. Well, this week Paige had to make a community building for the 2nd grade hallway, so she chose a family favorite. Daddy and Paige worked for a few hours on their building and here is how it turned out...almost good enough to eat!
Sophia's Art!!
Sophia has always had a love of art and yesterday she sat down with a pencil, some paper and some paint and made this beautiful piece of art. It is currently hanging in our foyer for all to see. She is so creative and has a great imagination and I pray she continues to tap into these God given talents to express herself.

School Pictures!!
Today was school pictures for Paige, Chloe and Sadie! I knew once again that most likely the school pics would be taken after lunch recess, so I didn't even bother buying any school ones this year and am just printing my own here at home. It's cheaper and the pics show far more personality in my humble opinion!! So...call me a bad mom or a smart mom, either way, I love these girls!!!

Don't Look If You Are A Wimp!!
So last night I was playing Betty Crocker and making homemade pizza for my beautiful family! As I was grating the cheese with my new handy dandy grater, I accidentally caught my knuckle and thus ended up in the ER. I was given a two shots in my hand, several stitches in my thumb and a Tetanus shot for safe keeping. Thankfully again my mother came to my rescue since my man was of course out of town and she finished the pizza for me. Next time instead of spending the $75 on ER co-payments, I'm gonna just order Pizza Hut for $15!

Camelback Inn
Todd and I snuck away for a little get away to the Camelback Inn here in Scottsdale this weekend. We hung out by the pool and did a whole lot of nothing and LOVED every moment! These times are only possible because of my parents. They constantly offer to watch our girls and that is such a huge blessing to us, our marriage and to our girls. Of course while we are away, Todd and I talk non-stop about our girls, but we always come back feeling recharged and refreshed!! Our next vacation is in October and we are already looking forward to our next adventure...this time WITH the girlz.

For Melanie!
My sweet friend, Melanie, who is only 34 years old was diagnosed with breast cancer just 2 weeks ago. She is the wife of our youth pastor and was also just recently layed off from her job, so she is currently not insured. I decided to throw my first ever Prayer and Pampering Night in her honor as to bring just a little bit of joy and hopefully some laughs into this precious friend's life. Breast cancer is so dear to my heart as many of you already know. We started off the night with a little game of naming every slang word you could think of for the word~breast. Cari Ann won the prize with 24 names!! Then as Jennifer gave Melanie a pedicure, my other dear friend Shawna shared her testimony of how breast cancer has affected her grandma, mother and how she took BIG steps in her very own life to prevent this dreadful disease. After that, we enjoyed an amazing time of prayer over Melanie and right when we started praying a huge monsoon storm blew in and God showed up and showed off in such a tangible way. I'll never look at the rain and thunder and lightening the same again!!! After that Melanie was able to open up some pampering gifts and unfortunately I can't share any other pictures because I asked all the ladies to wear their bras on the outside of their shirts and so those are top secret pics....OR really good blackmail ones! haha After the night was over, Melanie, Jennifer and I took the pink balloons outside and let them go....BUH BYE BREAST CANCER!!!!!
